Professional Development Topics

Building Cultural Competency in Early Childhood; Teaching Empathy, Kindness & Generosity

How can we help children understand, respect, and value people from diverse cultures, races, and backgrounds?

This engaging training goes beyond teaching children to share. Participants will discover meaningful strategies to cultivate empathy, kindness, generosity, and cultural understanding while creating a classroom environment where every child feels seen, valued, and respected.

This session fulfills the Minnesota Teacher License Renewal Requirement for Cultural Competency Training.

Discipline That Connects in the Classroom

Children's behavior communicates important needs, emotions, and experiences. This workshop helps educators move beyond simply managing behavior and learn how connection-based discipline builds responsibility, emotional regulation, and lasting life skills.

Participants will leave with practical strategies for responding to challenging behaviors while creating a classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and capable.

Understanding Child Development

When we understand how children grow and learn, we can respond with greater patience, compassion, and effectiveness.

This workshop explores the stages of child development and provides practical strategies for creating developmentally appropriate expectations, supporting healthy social-emotional growth, and responding to children's needs with confidence.
